Broadstone Golf Club is owned by the members and they elect a Management Committee to run the club on their behalf. This Committee then employ professional staff to manage the club on a day to day basis. The key individuals are profiled below along with their contact details where applicable. Jon Dry
General Manager
Jon began his career as a PGA Professional where he was fortunate enough to work at some of the finest clubs in the country, including Bearwood Lakes and Queenwood. Jon then decided to follow his ambition of establishing a career in Club Management. Jon secured the position of General Manager at Fulford in York in 2019, before making the move to the South Coast to join us at Broadstone in 2022.
Jon is focused on driving the club forwards on all fronts, with a focus on service and attention to detail.

Jon Tyror
Chair of the Management Committee
Jon has been a member of Broadstone Golf Club for 54 years. Over the years, the Club has become an important part of his life, and it has been his privilege to assist in its growth and success.
Throughout his professional career in Financial Services, various roles have equipped him with valuable skills in financial management, strategic planning, and problem-solving, which are highly relevant to supporting the effective governance of the Club.
He maintains a low handicap, and is a former County Strokeplay Champion.
At Broadstone, he has taken on several leadership roles, including:
- Captain of the Scratch Team, where he had the honour of leading some of our most competitive players.
- Captain of the Parkstone Trophy Team - the scratch seniors Team.
- Club Captain in 2023, during which he worked closely with the Committee for 18 months
- Member of the Handicap & Competitions Committee, ensuring fairness and smooth operations in our competitions.
- A former member of the Finance Committee, contributing to financial oversight and planning.
He is committed to maintaining and enhancing Broadstoneās reputation as one of the South's premier golf courses.

Dave Shenton
Finance Officer
In his professional life, Dave was employed by Lloyds Bank for some 38 years. Most of that time was spent as a Relationship Manager in the Business/Commercial Side of Banking.
Since retiring nearly 5 years ago, he has been heavily involved with DCGU, serving as Junior Secretary, overseeing Boys Junior Squads from age 12-18.
Having been a member for over 22 years and serving as Club Captain in 2018, Dave uses his business and banking experience from Lloyds and his golfing knowledge from working at a county level to ensure the club's finances are run in a professional manner.

Ash Harvey
Committee Member
Professionallu I have over 30 years experience as a quantity seveyor working for a variety of construction companies, and have held senior management positions for much of the past 15 years. The skills I have developed in this time such as team management, cost forecasting and budget control together with contract negotiation, are skills which I can use to benefit the Management Committee.
From a golfing perspective I have held a category 1 handicap for a number of years and have been fortunate enough to play many courses while representing the club competitively. This has led me to belive that Broadstone has one of the best designed courses in the country.

Mark Dobbs
Committee Member
Mark joined the club in 1998 and in that time he has represented Broadstone numerous times. He was the Clun Captain in 2022 and is now the current Gales Hockley Captain as well as Volunteers Co-ordinator.
He has a background in Policing, Transport Planning and Co-ordination during the London Olympics and then management with Dorset Healthcare NHS.
Mark is keen to continue the great work of the Committee and work with other key staff to imporve the experience of members and visitors at Broadstone.

Gordon Ross
Committee Member
Before retiring Gordon worked in IT mostly for IBM. A keen golfer since the age of 11, Gordon has an infectious passion for the game. Gordon was invited to join the Golf Monthly top 100 review panel in 2015 and is fortunate enough to have played all of the GB&I top 100. He represented Dorset seniors for 6 years. Having also served on committee at a previous club he brings beneficial experience to the Management Committee.
